Paintball! all right!!

Over April vacation me (meg), my dad, kevin, ian and nathaniel played paintball! It was wicked fun, especially playing with Kevin, who had never played before, but was surprisingly good. We played a bunch-o really fun games, prizes (basically shoot anyone you can), capture the flag, defend the fort, chicken (everyone is after one person) and V.I.P. In this game one team (happened to be me, nathaniel and ian) has to deliver the v.i.p. (a trash can) to a certain place and the other team is trying to shoot it. We named our trashcan George Bush, so no tears were shed when my dad shot it.

Here is Kevin after Ian shot him in the face....

Here I am sporting the welts I had all over my back...the really big one i think came from Ian during a game of prizes (that actually really hurt, dont tell him) and the various other ones were from Nathaniel during capture the flag.

Flashback! Pom Pom Zombies!!

Was i only one who had no idea that this embarrassment was photographed? oh well, the pictures came out pretty good. I'm finally starting to understand why everyone laughed whenever the Beatnics changed into our costumes....anyways...

Here's a brief history of Pom Pom Zombies for those of you who are not privileged to know:

Pom Pom Zombies was the musical that our Middle School put on when Ian and I were
in 7th grade and Brittney was in 8th. Brittney and I (have you noticed my amazing grammar?) were stuck in a random group with a bunch of our friends who the director had no idea what to do with. Hence the Beatnics. Beatnics are those crazy people who wear berats and dress in all black reciting poetry accompanied by b o n g o s. That is what me, brittney, and our friends emma, solange, and aaron did the whole play. Well except for me who was turned into a zombie in the 2nd act. Aaron’s poem was about evil dry-cleaners stealing his shirt (he even came on stage without a shirt in the past performance). Solange's poem was about a dying flower and we had to act out the whole thing, ending up lying on the ground at the end. Brittney's poem was about a see-saw (all she said was up and down, up and down...) and for my poem i just had to stand on the box with my eyes closed and my fingers on my temples...i was supposed to be ...my starring moment in the play was singing the song (not meant to be sung by an alto btw) with the rest of the beatnics as back-up singers and turning a into a zombie. hahaha *evil laugh* You are exactly right if you are thinking "their director must have been high when she picked this play"....

And it was really amusing (for everyone else) to hear the beatnics try to muffle their crys of pain as we stubbed our bare toes on the black scenery, which was on the black floor, next to the black walls, while we were wearing all black clothes. I have since learned how to act on stage with bleeding feet, it probably helped my facial expressions.

Here we all are, Brittney is sporting the last stripped shirt she will probably ever wear in her life. The beatnics are the ones wearing all black with the funny hats. Our favorite part of our costume were the "neckerchiffs", except the director didn't really like when we twisted them up and whipped eachother with them...We also enjoyed sliding up and down the hall way on our flip-flops.

The beatnics were backstage A LOT so I spent most of my time meditating...you know, thought i would try getting into character...

After a little while i had a whole circle of cast and crew members sitting in a circle on the floor around my perch trying to meditate, some one dubbed the experience "Meditating with Megan"
I think in this picture i was yelling at someone cuz they were doing it wrong.

You are probably wondering why me face is green...yeah that would be my zombie makeup. I was one of the lucky ones who got to have green gunk smeared all over their face and walk around like i was stoned for half the show.

What we like to call "Art Club"

As of a few weeks ago Megan, Brittney and Ian have joined the scandalous cult that meets every Tuesday afternoon known to those outside the privileged circle as "Art Club".
Here is a picture of Brittney and Shanti doing very top secret things involving paper and water color, and actually artistic talent on Shanti's part.

Lost Photographs

I am calling this post the "lost photographs" because I was cleaning my room the other day and I found a random disposable camera, which i developed and found a bunch of random pics, most are really dark and blurry, coming from a cheapy camera:

This is our ward at the end of youth conference:

After the leaders insisting on a serious picture....

This is Kevin and Solange on the bus, both displaying their natural personalities:

These two are of me and Brittney on the bus,
I think in this one she was threatening to club me with Solange's water bottle.

At least I think that is Brittney...
