One Amazing Guy and Doll

Here they are! The stars of this year's GHS Musical : Guys and Dolls!

Ian and Kenzie here did some intense (and very entertaining ;) dancing in this year's musical! If you haven't already seen it you should go! I'll have to admit it was worth the $5 I practically had to sell my own arm to get....

I <3 GREEN!!

So it's the best holiday of the year (besides my birthday;) Saint Patty's Day!! The day where you get to wear all green and have an excuse to pinch everyone!!

Yeah these pictures came out really bad, but give me a break, I took them with my cellphone in the hallway at school. As you can see Ian and I (meg!) went for the gusto and both wore green corduroys!! Mine are hotter.... ;D

Well, speaking of going all out for the occasion, nothing compares to the green rampage my mother went on around dinner time:

Pretty n a s t y looking, eh? My mom even dyed her milk green.... XP

From the Poetry Master's Archive

This is the poem I (meg) wrote from this year's library writing contest, it's actually about waiting for Alice and Carolynn outside the store yesterday. Tell me what you think, ill let you know in a couple weeks if i win anything!

Judging From the Brick Wall

Slide down the brick wall.
Hit the ground which is
Cold and damp like the
Pants and socks
Clinging to numb toes.
Pull the fur-encircled hood overhead, wait
For friends.

Two women met in front of the wall.
Carts almost crashing they
Stop to talk.
Had they been friends forever,
Or had they
just met?

An old man walks out, crutches balanced
On his cart. He turns his back and his
Secret is revealed, one leg is not real.
Was it in war where it was heroically stolen?
Or is the story behind the
Missing flesh one that
He regrets?

An apron-clad teen trudges
By with carts in tow, grimacing
As they pass the wall and go inside.
Is it just the melancholy weather, or is something deeper
Causing the frown lines on that
Young face?

Look to the right, leaning
On a cement pole.
Thick beard, untamed, slumped
Shoulders, exhaling smoke
Through c r a c k ed lips and yellowing teeth.
Is he waiting for an opportunity, or running away
From one?

Laughter from around the corner,
Says the wait is over.
Hand on the damp ground, push away
From the bricks. Stand, laugh and walk.
Judgements and unanswered questions
Soon forgotten.

Friday Fun!!

This Megan, reporting on the m-azing Friday that me and Brittney had! (britt's not in any of the pictures, though...she took all of them) We had a blast:

After school Megan, Brittney and our friends Tom, Jen, Sarah, Des and Carolynn (hehe we teased tom for being the only guy ;) went on a extremely fun series of adventures. From school we walked to the bank where, unable to find a ATM machine (we did find complimentary jolly ranchers...) inside we decided to "drive through" the bank's drive through ATM. Well actually we walked, but in the formation of a car, with Britt driving. Tom refused to keep on his seat belt.
Next we went to the Book Worm because Jen and Sarah needed to buy a b-day present for our friend Solange. Megan, Britt, Tom, Carolynn and Des busied themselves by reading comic books including one called "The Book of Bunny s u i c i d e s". If you are curious and want a good laugh the whole book is right here:

http://paginas.terra.com.br/arte/ReinodoCaos/bunny/b1.htm

Our favorite one was the bowling ball/strainer/spaghetti one. XD

After that, Des and Sarah went to Hannaford and the rest of us went to Goodwill:

Jen found the perfect thing for our friend Kevin to wear to the next Robotic competition!

A little later Des and Sarah came back from the store with balloon and tissue paper and cheetos. We then sat in a circle in the back of Good Will, wrapping presents, passing around the cheetos, blowing up balloons and laughing at Megan who was trying on funny pants.
This picture would be when Des decided "Hey i think ill stick two balloons down my shirt!" And that would be Sarah hugging them.

After Good Will Meg, Britt, Tom and Carolynn headed of to Hannaford to buy skittles, marshmallows (sound fimiliar?) and bubbles. (the bubbles were on a whim ;) Then we walked to GHOP, Tom walking a block ahead, I don't know why, who wouldn't want to be seen walking down the street with three hott s blowing bubbles?! We got pizza, etc. at GHOP then headed back to the school.

Ah, the skittles and marshmallow game....you sit in a circle and pass around a bag of skittles, taking two out each time with out looking. If they are the same color, you can chew and swallow whatever is in your mouth, if not then you have to keep them in your mouth without chewing, until you get some that are the same color. You also pass around a bag of marshmallows. Every time that bag comes to you, you must put a one in your mouth and say something. I wanted to say 'megan's cool' but we said "fluffy bunny" instead. This would be a picture of me (megan) with my mouth full, really hoping that the skittle will not rip my braces off.

Megan and Ted (right in the hat/glasses) were the ultimate winners, and only could not continue stuffing things in their mouths because we ran out of marshmallows. oh and that kid in the back would be Jonas, who is being dumb and pretending he actually played.

We were then kicked outside by a very angry janitor and continued to play outside, joined by our friends Alice and Shanti. Then Meg, Carolynn, Britt and Alice went back to Hannaford to buy flowers for our peeps in the musical, which we went to see that night. We got them green carnations!! :P

Carolynn showing off her flowers....

"I'm waiting for my true love...."

Carolynn and Alice....*roll eyes* hehe ;)

We ended the day by seeing the school musical "Guys and Dolls", and we got front row seats!!!
By the way, all you guys who were in the musical did an awesome job! We <3 you, and you really deserved those green flowers!!! :D

X-treme Snow!

Check this out! Yeah, that's right, we are standing on a huge snow bank, the picture is being taken from the ground below us. This pile of snow must have been 6 or 7 feet tall! Well, it was taller than me....but that doesn't take much. Anyhoo, me (Meg), my cousin Hannah (middle), and my sister Kelsey (left) had an awesome time romping around in snow together!

(This post was for the benefit of my relatives in Utah and Texas....esp. Texas, who could be swimming right now.)

Megan's weird cousins

This is what happens when me and my cousins get bored:

Left to right: Hannah (12), Megan, and Emily (16, who's looking at bit blurry...)

Megan and Emily way too early in the morning....

Ahhhhhh! ;D

Is that not the scariest thing you have ever seen? My cousin from Mars.....

This picture came out relatively good i guess.....

Yah! On Guard! :P

Ian should really be writing about this but oh well....

Ian sent me this pictures and I thought it would be pretty cool to blog. I don't know how old he is, but this is a picture of Ian and his fencing class. He is the 5th one from the left in the last row, actually smiling for once! (it's hard for me to find a picture of him where is is not doing a "fake picture smile" or sticking his tongue out at me) Ian has some pretty intense fencing skills, as I was able to witness when we practiced sword fighting in our English class yesterday. That was right after we did meditation yoga in our World History class. ;) We had a fun Friday morning!

Memories from Camp Kieve ;D

Hey, it's Meg! I finally got all those pictures off the video from Camp Keive! For those of you who are not with the program....you're not missing much... :P ....anyway Camp Keive was a camp for disturbed teenagers where they teach you how to get along with other children and get along with out d r u g s and other...umm...disparaging behaviors. You think I'm kidding don't you? Well I'm not, it was like the DARE program for a week straight. But me, Ian and the rest of our friends still had an amazing time! We went at the end of our 8th grade year instead of going to Washington D.C. Here are some pics from our adventures:

As you can see, some parts were not all that thrilling...but check out how much hair Ian had!

Andrew looks like he is having fun....He would be the one next to me
who looks way to happy for his own good.

Here I am preparing to climb into the unknown...The ropes course was one of my favorite parts of the week....Ian might beg to differ however... ;)

Spotting.....

Wow, don't those harnesses look hott? We all really enjoyed putting those on, esp. the guys as you can tall from this pic! hehe... :P

WEEEE!

Ian's really trying to find the deeper meaning in this...

Being forced to make goals (aka hour of solitary confinement)
Our friend Seth decided to have a little fun and wrote about how one of his goals for life was to hunt down a grizzly bear, give it a wet willy, name the bear Ian, train it, then use it to hunt down Big Foot.

Me and Kenzie practicing our secret handshake...it was so secret that we were required to show everyone else how to do it....

I have no idea what is going on in this picture....

Megan climbing.....from all angles... ;)

Mayhamm in the Kitchen

Hello, this is Megan and Brittney reporting from the my kitchen. After taking the bus to Megan's house we decided to make some food, cus, you know we were wicked hungry. So we decided to make some Mac and Cheese and of course Megan's mom made her cook because "it's your house!" That was a bad idea. Because Megan couldn't cook to save her life. Look how the mac and cheese from a box turned out:

"Yeah, there's this weird thing you have to do called stirring.....and I probably should have taken all the paper off the butter before I put it in...."

So of course me(Brittney) took over the cooking with the muffins! because well as you can see megan is a really bad cook. But I'm not sure if I'm doing any better considering the batter came out exetremely sticky. We are still crossing our fingers for the turn out of our muffins! ah but cooking was mad difficult because megans sisters like to attack me. hehe I'm amazing with kids...megan on the other hand lets just say her cooking and babysitting skills are very much alike. future husband watch out!
